Widespread thunderstorm development occurred ahead/along both a southward advancing surface cold front and trailing dryline (southwestern Oklahoma & western-north Texas) during the evening of the 29th. A favorable overlap of instability, lapse rates, and wind shear combined to produce severe thunderstorms with reports of large to very large hail, focused across south-central into central Oklahoma.
