A maximum wind gust of 58 MPH was recorded at the CWOP site, FW9689 Jal. This was likely due to a microburst with a significant temperature drop coinciding with this gust. Time is estimated from radar and observations.

Wider weather episode

There was continued broad troughing across the western United States with a dryline across portions of the Permian Basin south across the Davis Mountains. Splitting supercells occurred with severe weather and blowing dust from thunderstorm outflow across portions of Southeast New Mexico and the Stockton Plateau.
