A 440-acre wildfire burned area near the intersection of CR 70 and CR 71.

Wider weather episode

Dry fuels, low relative humidities and gusty winds led to an elevated fire danger across north Mississippi in early March. A couple of large wildfires broke out and burned several hundred acres.
