Trees were blown down near Virgil Burks Drive in Wurtland. One of the trees clipped the corner of a house along the road.
Wider weather episode
Damaging wind gusts and an instance of large hail swept through eastern Kentucky on the afternoon of April 14th as a low pressure system passed through the Great Lakes region. Main impacts from the brief stint of severe weather included downed trees around Greenup County and quarter sized hail outside of the Letitia township. Storms quickly ventured into West Virginia for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
