The public reported 2 inch diameter hail 2 miles west-northwest of Cornelia.

Wider weather episode

A complex of severe storms produced large and destructive hail over portions of southwestern Wisconsin during the pre-dawn hours on April 18th. Numerous instances of hail of golf ball sized or greater were reported across southern Grant County with the largest being baseball sized in Platteville.
