Event narrative

Strong thunderstorm wind blew down a tree onto a road.

Wider weather episode

Strong to severe thunderstorms developed into portions of northwestern Arkansas during the evening of the 26th, to the north of a front located near the Red River and with the approach of an upper level disturbance. The strongest thunderstorms produced damaging wind.

Another round of thunderstorms developed across the region during the early morning of the 27th, as the front moved northward as a warm front. The strongest storms produced hail up to nickel size.
