Multiple trees and power lines were blown down between the Washington and Lubeck areas.
Wider weather episode
Shower and thunderstorms traveled into West Virginia on the evening of April 19th ahead of a cold frontal passage. One storm in particular that ventured into Wood County produced damaging wind gusts that resulted in numerous downed trees and power lines. Storms weakened as they advanced further into the state, and no longer posed a threat of severe weather heading into the late evening hours of the 19th.
