While above-average precipitation occurred across the WFO Norman Forecast Area during April 2025, lighter totals were observed during early portions of the month across northwestern and far northern Oklahoma. This allowed ongoing severe (or greater) drought to remain through the mid-month, before widespread heavy rainfalls ended this concern across the entire area.
