Multiple trees down along Hwy 45, about 3 miles south of Aberdeen.

Wider weather episode

A mesoscale convective vortex moved across the Lower Mississippi Valley during the early morning hours. A second area of convection developed over Central Arkansas and approached the Mid-South during the late morning to early afternoon. Surface-based instability flourished across the region along with supportive shear and steep lapse rates, resulting in damaging winds and large hail across north Mississippi.
