A 64 MPH wind gust was measured at 931 PM at Meadville Airport. Local emergency management reported numerous downed trees and powerlines across the county.

As strong low pressure tracked out of the Ohio Valley, across western Ohio and into the Great Lakes, a strong cold front moved east across the area the evening of December 29th. Strong winds occurred behind this cold front, with some sites measuring wind gusts of 58 MPH or stronger and some downed trees and power-lines reported.
