Six Mile Creek above Brookings rose above flood stage the afternoon of June 29th, cresting around 1.05 feet above flood stage (1635.05 feet) on June 30th. The creek then quickly fell below flood stage on the afternoon on June 30th.

A period of heavy rain across northeast South Dakota resulted in downstream river gauges within the upper and middle Big Sioux River Basin to rise into Minor and locally Moderate flood stage.
