Beaufort County Emergency Management reported a lightning strike started a house fire near the intersection of Petigru Drive and Bryan Drive.

Clusters of thunderstorms developed along a stationary front and impacted portions of southeast South Carolina during the morning hours. A few of these storms produced damaging wind gusts, hail, and lightning strikes.
