Wider weather episode

On the afternoon of June 1st, an outflow boundary from morning thunderstorms, combined with a strong shortwave trough moving south from the Southern Plains into North Texas, created a focus for thunderstorm development. These storms began near the I-20 corridor and moved south throughout the afternoon, eventually dissipating over Central Texas by evening. The most significant severe weather event associated with this system was large hail, up to 3, in Parker and Tarrant counties.
