A tree was reported down on a house near the intersection of West Twenty-Third Street and Pittsburg Ave.
Wider weather episode
A lee trough across western North Carolina and a cold front digging south from the Ohio Valley led to the development of a line of scattered showers and storms along the North Carolina and Virginia border and across the western Piedmont of North Carolina. These storms moved south and east in the central North Carolina Piedmont, where downed trees over Forsyth, Person, and Orange, were observed from severe storms.
