Thunderstorms developed over the western Nebraska Panhandle and northeastern Colorado during the late afternoon hours of June 13th. This activity tracked east encountering good low level moisture and became severe over the eastern Nebraska Panhandle and portions of southwestern Nebraska. Thunderstorm wind gusts up to 68 MPH and thunderstorm wind damage was reported in the Ogallala area.
