Event narrative

A 6 to 8 inch diameter tree branch was downed onto power lines near the intersection of Jackson and Douglas streets in Woodstock.

Wider weather episode

Two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms moved across far northern and northeastern Illinois on the 3rd, the first during the early afternoon and the second during the evening. The storms produced marginally-damaging wind gusts in addition to widespread heavy rain and one brief EF0 tornado in Boone County.
