The Emergency Manager relayed reports of trees down at several locations around Canton, including Heritage Drive, Riverstone Parkway, Cartersville Street, Lawson Drive, Governors Walk Drive at Blake Way, Great Sky Parkway at Reinhardt College Park.

A line of thunderstorms moving quickly along a cold-front tapped into significant low level shear and instability to cause widespread and significant wind damage across swaths of north Georgia. Winds of nearly 90mph were observed even as the line weakened.
