Golf ball size hail was estimated north of Neelyville while emergency management reported a picture of hail measured at two inches from the northeast of Neelyville.

Cells streamed northeastward through far Southeast Missouri during the early AM hours of the 16th as a stationary front resided near the Ohio River. Large hail was produced on the north side of Neelyville, with the largest hail reaching two inches. MLCAPE was around 1500-2000J/kg (-10C to -30C CAPE was 800-900J/kg), significant hail parameter was 1, and effective shear was 60kts.
