Event narrative

Strong thunderstorm winds knocked down a few trees down along Glenburn Road. One tree took down wires and a pole with a small transformer. The pole and wires landed on a car, smashing the windshield and causing other minor damage.

Wider weather episode

Hot and humid conditions provided the fuel for storms triggered by a frontal system that swept across Central New York. Multiple storms became severe with damaging wind gusts. There were several reports of trees and wires down on roadways.
