Event narrative

A snap-back event in the wake of departing Hurricane Erin resulted in widespread minor coastal flooding that lasted two days. The Annapolis National Ocean Service (NOS) gauge experienced moderate coastal flooding early on the 23rd reaching a crest of 3.69' MLLW or approximately 2' of inundation above ground level at 448 AM.

A snap-back event in the wake of Hurricane Erin in late Aug 2025 caused widespread minor coastal flooding that lasted a couple of days. Moderate coastal flooding was experienced in several areas of Anne Arundel County including Annapolis.
