Significant damage occurred to campers at the Willow Creek Campground from wind-driven hail. Hail lasted for around 10 minutes.

Wider weather episode

Weak warm advection initiated isolated convection in a low-shear, high CAPE environment. Slow moving storms made the most of strong initial updrafts to produce hail up to half-dollar size, followed by damaging wind gusts later in storm evolution.
