An NWS employee reported that 3rd Avenue between Penn Street and South State Street in Aberdeen was closed due to flooding. A CoCoRaHS observer 1.5 miles south-southwest of downtown recorded 2.28 inches of rainfall.

Wider weather episode

Thunderstorms during the afternoon produced flooding in Aberdeen. A separate storm that formed along the Missouri River north of Oacoma was responsible for a waterspout.
