A large tree was reported down across Hoods Mill Road blocking the entire roadway.
Wider weather episode
Surface low pressure associated with a seasonably anomalous closed upper low dragged a cold front through the area, resulting in evening showers and thunderstorms. Most convection was sub-severe as MLCAPE and effective shear were marginal (300-600 J/g and 20kts), however, there was one severe storm east of Pittsburgh in Westmoreland county. Damaging winds were the only threat with convection.
