Hail was driven by 60 mph winds, breaking 3 windows and damaging the siding on a home.

Thunderstorms developed over eastern Montana into western North Dakota as an upper level short-wave trough approached the area. Some of these storms became severe over southwest North Dakota producing large hail and damaging wind gusts. The largest hail was just under the size of a tennis ball, and caused damage to a home and vehicles to the southwest of South Heart in Stark County. The strongest wind gust was estimated at 100 mph to the south of Bowman in Bowman County. At this location a large pole barn building was severely damaged with the majority of the roofing material and rafters blown off, one wall completely destroyed, and another wall mostly destroyed. The main leg of a grain distribution system was completely blown over, along with the bin distribution pipes. Multiple large grain bins and hopper bins were also dented, with one hopper bin completely blown over.
