Chatham County Emergency Management reported a tree down and blocking half of the roadway in the 7600 block of Central Avenue.

Wider weather episode

Numerous clusters of thunderstorms developed across interior southeast Georgia starting in the early afternoon hours. These storms steadily progressed eastward through the late afternoon producing damaging wind gusts and frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.
