A trained spotter reported 1 inch hail lasting for approximately 5 minutes due to a severe thunderstorm in Sierra Vista.

Wider weather episode

A line of severe thunderstorms moving southwestward from the Arizona and New Mexico border sent a dust storm, or haboob, through Cochise county. There were numerous reports of less than 0.25 mile visibility due to dust and a crash on I-10 due to the reduced visibility.
