AWOS station KALK measured wind gust of 62 mph from a severe thunderstorm.

Wider weather episode

A line of severe thunderstorms moving southwestward from the Arizona and New Mexico border sent a dust storm, or haboob, through Cochise county. There were numerous reports of less than 0.25 mile visibility due to dust and a crash on I-10 due to the reduced visibility.
