Utirik, Wojte, and Jaluit started the month at D3 (Extreme) Drought. Jaluit improved to D2 (Severe) Drought on July 8th, after 3.3 inches of rain fell in a week. Utirik and Wojte would improve to D2 (Severe) Drought on July 22nt after 2.86 inches fell at Wotje and 2.28 inches fell at Utririk from July 12th to the 21st. At the end of July, Utirik would further improve to D1 (Moderate) Drought with a monthly rainfall total of 10.63 inches, while Wojte and Jaluit remained at D2 with a monthly total of 9.81 inches and 15.14, respectively. Kwajalein and Ailinglaplap started July at D2 , degrading from D1 status reported in previous weekly report on June 24th. Both island would remain at D2 until July 22nd, when they improved to D1 as Kwajalein 7.34 had a July 1-20 rainfall total of 7.34 inches, while Ailinglaplap had 8.97 inches. Kwajalein ended July with 11.39 inches of rain and Ailinglaplap ended July with 12.68 inches, both at D1.

Drought conditions improved as the Marianas entered its typical wet season, seeing increased rainfall across the island chain and meeting weekly water needs. Rainfall also started to increase across the Republic of the Marshall Islands during the month of July due to an active trade-wind pattern.
