In the early afternoon of the 22nd, storms began developing off a east/west oriented boundary, south of I-70. The boundary soon filled with storms that produced hail up to 1.25 inches, 61 MPH winds, and flooding by the morning of the 23rd. The largest hail reported fell in Sharon Springs, the strongest wind gust was in southern Sherman County, and the flooding happened Logan County.
