Multiple reports from public, NWS employees and trained spotters of a funnel cloud over west side Rapid City.

Storms developed along the Black Hills just to the west and south of Sturgis during the rally. A storm coming off the Black Hills was able to produce a funnel cloud on the west side of Rapid City that had a lot of exposure.
