Multiple WYDOT sensors along Interstate 25 recorded wind gusts above 60 MPH on October 12. Two Union Pacific Railroad sensors recorded maximum gusts of 65 MPH during the morning hours on the 12th.
Wider weather episode
A strong cold front moving across the region contributed to high winds in most of the southeast Wyoming wind prone locations.
