Event narrative

A severe thunderstorm produced high winds at Harry Reid Airport and also on the Strip, where many temporary structures and at least two trees were blown down. Outflow winds also blew down one large tree at Angel Park Golf Club.

Wider weather episode

Low pressure moved very slowly east from the eastern Pacific across the Mojave Desert, triggering isolated thunderstorms over southern Nevada, a few of which produced severe weather.
