A picture was taken of a brief tornado that moved over El Dorado Lake. This picture was taken from the Kansas Turnpike and shared.

Wider weather episode

Thunderstorms expanded in coverage during the afternoon hours on the 14th. These storms produced brief gusty outflow winds and potential for a few brief landspout tornadoes. A brief tornado northeast of El Dorado which did move over the lake was captured from the Kansas Turnpike. No damage was reported.
