2025-11-10 to 2025-11-11 · Clearfield, Pennsylvania

Event narrative

SNOW SQUALL. A snow squall resulted in an accident involving two commercial vehicles on State Route 153 near Colby Road.

Wider weather episode

Surface low pressure stationed across New England allowed for westerly flow to generate upslope and lake effect snowfall across portions of western Pennsylvania beginning during the early morning hours of November 10th can continuing into the afternoon hours of November 11, 2025. Wind directions initially out of the west-northwest allowed for snowfall to be limited to Warren and McKean Counties during the morning hours of November 10th before flow turned westerly, allowing for more widespread lake effect snow and upslope snow across central Pennsylvania. Instability and moisture in place allowed for snow squalls to form, mainly during the evening hours of November 10th and into the November 11th across the Interstate 80 corridor. A multi-vehicle accident occurred in Clearfield County within a snow squall, where no injuries were reported.
