A maximum tide level of 8.46 ft MLLW (2.70 ft MHHW) was observed at the Charleston Harbor tide gage. Major coastal flooding typically begins along the coasts of Charleston and Colleton counties when tide levels reach 8.0 FT MLLW (2.24 ft MHHW) in the Charleston Harbor.
