Event narrative

A large tree limb broke and blocked part of 9th Street. Numerous small branches were also broke in the area around downtown Lake Charles.

Wider weather episode

A cold front pushed into the region with a line of thunderstorms. One storm produced a tornado. Strong north winds pushed tide levels below normal behind the cold front.
