A retired NWS Employee reported a tree and a large branch down.
Wider weather episode
A nearby shortwave trough and frontal boundary ignited a cluster of supercell thunderstorms near the Texas Coastal Bend during the afternoon/evening hours of November 1. These supercells shifted south-southeastward over the Gulf Waters and the lower Texas coastal counties, with one strong cell that originated near Alice producing numerous instances of large hail from quarter to golf ball size, as well as isolated wind damage.
