Event narrative

Generally 2 to 3 inches of snow observed countywide, with locally higher totals. Highest accumulation of 3.2 inches observed in Janesville.

Wider weather episode

An area of light to moderate snow developed over parts of southern Wisconsin from the late evening hours of January 20 into the early morning hours of January 21. Snow brought generally 2 to 3 inches of accumulation to locations along and south of the Interstate 94 and US-18 corridors. Locally higher totals to 4 inches occurred in far southwestern Wisconsin. While snow had concluded, slippery roads continued into the morning commute on January 21.
