Low pressure moved through the region on November 9th, before shifting east into New England and lingering through the 10th and 11th. A period of synoptic snow associated with the low pressure occurred late November 9th into early November 10th. Behind this low, a lingering trough and an early season blast of cold air combined with northwest winds to bring accumulating lake effect snow, with snow peaking in intensity overnight November 10th into the early morning of the 11th. Snow was spread out over a period of 36 hours and did not reach heavy snow criteria, though storm totals of over 6 inches were reported by several spotters. A peak amount of 8 inches was reported by a cooperative observer in Chardon. Selected spotter reports include 7.2 inches in Burton, 6.7 inches in Troy Township, 6.6 inches in Auburn township, and 6.5 inches in Montville and Russel Township.
