PennDOT sensor I-79 at mile marker 86 measured less than a quarter mile visibility in a snow squall.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front dove through the area from north to south ushering in strong cold advection in its wake. A narrow, strong line of convective snow developed along the boundary sinking across the entire county warning area. There were numerous reports of visibility of a quarter mile or less, wind gusts greater than 30 mph, and rapid accumulation on roadways.
