Storm total snow accumulations ranged from 3 to 5 inches.

A weakening primary low tracked southeast across New England during the 23rd while a secondary low developed southeast of the Gulf of Maine. A Norlun type trof developed between these two systems...extending back across southwest portions of the forecast area. Snow expanded...from southwest to northeast...across the region through the late afternoon and evening of the 23rd. The snow then persisted into the morning of the 24th...steadiest across west-central and southwest portions of the region. The greatest snow accumulations occurred along the trof axis extending from southwest Hancock...across southern Penobscot...to southwest Piscataquis counties. Snow totals in that region generally ranged from 4 to 7 inches...with local totals up to around 8 inches. Warning criteria snow accumulations occurred during the morning of the 24th. Snow totals decreased eastward across the remainder of the forecast area...tapering to around an inch or less along the Maine/New Brunswick border closest to high pressure which was ridged across the Maritimes.
