This winter system brought between 1 to 3 inches of accumulations in Olmsted County with the highest report being 2.3 inches about 5 miles east-southeast of Douglas. Additionally, one vehicle accident occurred on the morning of December 10th when a vehicle lost control on Interstate 90 and collided with the median resulting in two non-life threatening injuries.
Wider weather episode
During the daytime hours on December 9th, a strong clipper brought a round of snow to portions of southeast Minnesota. While amounts were under 6 inches for most of southeast Minnesota, the snow did contribute to one vehicle accident in Olmsted County which resulted in two individuals receiving non-life threatening injuries.
