Street flooding was reported in Naperville, Woodridge, Darien, Wheaton and Lombard. Rainfall reports included 2.27 inches two miles southwest of Wheaton and 2.24 inches near Downers Grove.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms along with heavy rain moved across parts of northeast Illinois during the evening of January 8th, producing flash flooding and localized wind damage.
