An Arctic cold front combined with Pacific moisture to produce widespread heavy snowfall and very cold temperatures. Snowfall amounts in inches included 2 miles west of The Dalles (5), 3 miles southwest of Lyle (5), Moro (5.5), 11 miles south southeast of Celilo (4), 2 miles north of Hermiston (5), Irrigon (6), Imbler (5), Elgin (5), 21 miles east southeast of Joseph (9), 5 miles east northeast of Troy (12), 15 miles southeast of Heppner (18), 7 miles south southeast of Fox (12), 5 miles north northwest of Service Creek (4), 10 miles northwest of Monument (12), Seneca (6), 7 miles east southeast of John Day (8), Helix (7), Weston (8), Condon (6), 5 miles west northwest of Ruggs (4.5), Heppner (5), 2 miles south southwest of Camp Sherman (17), 5 miles north northwest of LaPine (12), 5 miles south southwest of Bend (8.5), 4 miles south southwest of Bend (9), and 9 miles west of La Pine.

Extreme cold temperatures followed the snowfall with many locations setting records on November 24th including Joseph (-9), Long Creek (-10), Meacham (-24), Pendleton (-7). Other sub zero temperatures were observed at Bend (-8), Hermiston (-8), Joseph (-11), LaGrande (-6), Redmond (-8), Antelope (-5), Condon (-2), Moro (-7), Mitchell (-1), Seneca (-19), and Union (-8).
