High winds in Southern Cayuga County, along and behind a gusty cold front, caused scattered power outages in Locke, and numerous downed trees in Summer Hill.

Wider weather episode

A strong low pressure center passed just to the north of Lake Ontario on the evening of January 17th, which sent a cold front with strong winds through portions of Central New York. This resulted in downed trees, power outages, and minor damage to structures.
