Tyrrell County 911 center reported trees down with power outages and pea size hail on Legion Beach Road and Riverneck Road near Legion Beach.

Wider weather episode

Two weak upper level disturbances crossed through northeastern North Carolina during the early evening hours of May 1st and May 2nd, 2012. A few severe storms occurred which produced downed trees and large hail.
