The Boise ASOS recorded a peak wind of 60 MPH and numerous reports of wind damage were received from the media and the public.

A strong cold front sweeping through Southeast Oregon Southwest Idaho in the late afternoon and early evening of the 4th produced severe thunderstorms across the area including damaging winds and large hail.
