The Jasper County 911 Center reported that more than six trees were blown down in the northern part of the county.

The upper ridge located west of the area began to broaden and damp on the 6th, while the surface boundary continued to remain in place across the state. As had been the case for the past several days, numerous showers and thunderstorms developed in the afternoon and evening hours. Several of these storms reached severe levels, with mostly damaging winds reported.
