A strong cold front moved through the Inland Northwest during the morning hours of October 16th. Deep cold advection behind the front coupled with a 22 millibar pressure gradient lead to strong winds across the entire region. Most locations experienced wind gusts between 40 and 57 mph, however isolated observation platforms did briefly gust between 60 and 75 mph. The strongest wind gust of 75 mph was recorded on a RAWS at Corral Creek.
