Event narrative

Hail up to one inch in diameter fell at a ranch 9 miles northwest of Ten Sleep.

Wider weather episode

Severe thunderstorms developed before noon in a favorable environment over north-central Wyoming. The storms eventually developed farther to the east on either side of the Bighorn Mountains. One storm spawned a weak tornado over open country in eastern Park County. Another storm eventually produced large hail near Ten Sleep, while smaller hail fell in southern Johnson County.
